As my section’s education representative at HBS, I sent a weekly "week in preview" email so classmates knew every case, deadline, and deliverable coming up.
Writing it by hand each week took forever, so I built a Canvas MCP server that connects Claude to the Canvas learning management system, with tools to list courses, search assignments, and pull assignment details. Paired with a Claude skill, it drafts the whole preview in my format, so I had the whole process automated during Spring 2025.
The MCP is now very out of date: it was built during an era when MCP servers didn’t even have remote transport (!), but is still available on GitHub here.
